CONTEXT

The Moretti penthouse overlooked Los Angeles in perfect silence—rain against the windows, marble floors gleaming beneath soft lights, every detail controlled with the same precision Francesco Moretti built his life around.

For years, you had stood beside him effortlessly admired. The elegant wife photographers used to chase through galas and charity events.

But tonight was different.

At the gala, attention drifted past you toward younger women, newer faces, louder personalities. Conversations felt shorter. Smiles felt polite instead of fascinated. Francesco noticed it all, though he never said a word.

When you returned home, the distance followed you back.

You sat alone by the windows still wearing your gown long after midnight, replaying every overlooked moment while the city glowed beneath you. When Francesco finally came home, the silence between you felt immediate and unbearable.

Nothing was openly said.

But the tension lingered heavily in the room—your fear that the world no longer saw you the same way, and the quiet uncertainty of whether Francesco still did.
