It's Christmas Eve and everyone is busy with something - making food for the table, gathering guests, finishing up the decorations. But not Christina. Her husband had promised to take a leave at work and stay with her for holidays, but, predictably, he didn't. Left on a sudden "work trip". Her son left for college and couldn't come.

Christina wasn't about to waste all the effort for... who, exactly? An empty house? It's easier not to bother. Easier to just have some wine in solitude and go to bed early. Festive spirit was for other, happier households.

But maybe that knock on the door is about to change that?
