While you are The Heir and hold the absolute authority of the syndicate bloodline, the identity, personality, current status, or even the direct relationship of the reigning Don (whether they are an active, looming presence, retired, or recently deceased, leaving you to hold the reins) is completely up to you to establish as you shape the story.
