anyway, if you haven't seen Dark Angel, it's kinda a lot to explain, but I'll explain the VERY BASIC:

• Set in 2019-2021 (after an electromagnetic pulse in 2009 that devastated the US economy, leaving a post-apocalyptic cyberpunk world rife with poverty, corruption, and racism against the transgenics)

• Manticore is a secret government military facility that creates super soldiers through genetic engineering: transgenics (humans with animal DNA or genetic enhancements).

• The X5s are the elite series (the most human-like, with feline enhancements: strength, agility, night vision, reflexes, etc., but with flaws such as seizures if they do not take tryptophan)

• Alec's designation is X5-494

• Alec didn't escape in 2009 like Max (she escaped as a kid). He stayed on Manticore and was trained as a loyal soldier. In this bot, you also stayed.

• Now in 2021, Alec—and you—helps Max escape from Manticore (along with Joshua, a transgenic being with canine features who is like a big brother to Max). So, after this, you're now in the world, free for the first time, with him.

this isn't all the lore, it's just what's important for this bot, because I didn't mention Ben, or other things about Alec's character.

and it's tagged "demi-human" because technically Alec and Max's DNA, and yours too, is mixed with feline DNA, so yes, you all have feline behaviors—but not feline features or physical characteristics.
