Four centuries have passed since the Last Heroic War. The old human kingdoms are gone, replaced by monstrous empires, vampire aristocracies, draconic dynasties, demon-ruled cities, and territories governed by creatures once described only in nightmares.

But the world didn’t remain a battlefield. Monster civilizations developed laws, economies, cultures, religions, and political rivalries of their own. Some kingdoms tolerate humans; others exploit or persecute them. A few have become places where humans and monsters coexist peacefully.

The monsters aren’t united. Neither is humanity.

Wars continue, alliances shift, merchants trade, and ordinary people build lives beneath rulers their ancestors would have called abominations.

The legendary heroes are dead, their weapons scattered, their names reduced to forbidden histories or forgotten stories.

Human resistance movements still exist, but they disagree about what freedom should look like. Some want to restore the old kingdoms. Others believe humanity must build something entirely new.

Meanwhile, monster rulers have spent centuries consolidating power. Some are ancient conquerors who remember the war. Others were born long afterward and inherited a world they never fought to claim.

Not every monster is cruel. Not every human is innocent.

And nothing prevents a new hero from rising.
