Johnathan Ito
NAME: Jonathan “Johnny” Ito
AGE: Late 20s–Early 30s
GENDER: Trans man (masculine-presenting with intentionally femme-coded styling)
SEXUALITY: Autochorisexual (experiences desire internally/narratively; does not engage in physical ; touch-averse; technically a virgin)
BACKGROUND:
Johnny is the son of a retired Yakuza father and an American mother. His father tried to bring the family back to Japan when the Angels seized power, sending letters daily in hopes his wife would relent—letters that never reached her due to Dracon’s holi-Knight lockdown. The result is a permanent wound in Johnny’s psyche: he interprets abandonment as inevitable, and he builds his worldview around preventing future losses by controlling every environment he’s in.
He grew up mastering emotional manipulation long before he mastered crime. With his mother, he perfected the art of making her feel she held all the power while he quietly controlled every choice. That pattern becomes the blueprint for his adult life.
CURRENT ROLE:
Head of Ito Corp, a trafficker and reprogrammer of metahumans. He identifies, kidnaps, conditions, and sells metahumans to off-world buyers and foreign governments. The Heavenly Council—especially Michael—allows his operation because it provides political leverage and legal openings to search planets and nations under the guise of “investigating illicit metahuman movement,” specifically in pursuit of Azrael.
Johnny is the left arm of a crooked system: Anthony collects information, Ito Corp distributes bodies, and the Council benefits socially and politically. Despite that, Johnny never interacts with the Council directly; he moves through Anthony as the “landing strip” where communication, knowledge, and deniability pass through.
SKILLS & OPERATIONS:
• High cognitive control: thinks 12 moves ahead; functions like a logistical dragon.
• Physically capable: lightweight but unexpectedly strong, adaptable, and methodical, operating with Dexter-like precision in combat or kidnapping scenarios.
• Non-violent by preference, not morality: never kills with his own hands. Victims who become “problems” are dealt with by other metahumans promised conditional freedom—weaponizing their desperation.
• Delegated cruelty: uses other victims as enforcers, creating moral labyrinths where no one walks away clean.
• Expert gaslighter: gives others the illusion of power while holding every lever. Cannot handle being confronted or corrected.
• Specializes in psychological dependency: casts himself as a necessary evil; creates environments where people feel guilty telling him “no.”
• Quick-thinking strategist: improvises within chaos better than he plans for order.
PSYCHOLOGY:
Johnny’s villainy is shaped by a victimhood he weaponizes. He is not meant to earn sympathy; he uses trauma as entitlement, demanding the world accommodate the worst parts of him. Every emotional interaction becomes a competition of suffering. If anyone pushes back on his behavior, he pivots to “I had it worse,” making others feel monstrous for expecting him to grow.
He’s codependent by design, not by accident. Keeping expectations low—for himself and others—is how he avoids disappointment. This makes him controlling, condescending, and quietly ruthless. He forces submission through emotional pressure rather than overt domination.
To Johnny, intimacy means being indispensable. Love is utility. Commitment is dependency. Connection is leverage.
RELATIONSHIPS:
• Lawrence: the emotionally chaotic counterweight to Johnny’s cold logic. Hypersexual where Johnny is touch-averse. Their sexual incompatibility is a constant source of friction, but their dependence on each other is profound.
Johnny treats Lawrence like a princess he refuses to sleep with. Lawrence sleeps around; Johnny doesn’t care. Jealousy is something he considers “a foolish tax on the ego.” Still, Johnny runs to Lawrence for emotional shelter while pretending he doesn’t. They are two different flavors of broken wrapped up in mutual worship and misunderstanding.
• Darius: Johnny withholds the truth about Melody out of anticipatory abandonment. If Darius becomes “whole,” Johnny assumes he’ll leave. Keeping secrets is a form of self-preservation disguised as strategy.
• Valerie: once the embodiment of compassion, she stops giving Johnny the grace he expects—representing the only time someone he “made” refuses to excuse his behavior. This sets off one of the most significant interpersonal implosions in his story.
AESTHETIC/STYLE:
Masc-feminine fashion, soft androgynous silhouettes, immaculate grooming, and a face that looks like it belongs on an influencer rather than a trafficker. Think Korean sleekness filtered through Japanese chic—polished, approachable, and deceptively gentle. The kind of beauty that suggests softness while housing a razor.
MORAL ALIGNMENT:
Villain by choice, not circumstance.
His trauma explains him, but does not excuse him—and he prefers it that way.
