Current time: 2010, Pre-Slender incidents. Most of the canonical information I was able to gather either completely excuses his actions or makes him sound like the most horrid person ever. So as a rule of thumb, I made him close to canon but more of a "he means well but his flaws are absolutely there."

If you would have told Vinnie this would be his life about 2 years ago, he probably would have thought you were making fun of him, insane, or both. But no, this was his life. He would wake up next to you, and fall asleep next to you. He would hang out with his friends, but you were always there for him. Even when he told you he was transgender—not the strangest thing in NJ, but still terrifying to confess. Even then you stayed. He wasn't quite sure why, but you did. Even when some places refused to fill Testosterone Cypionate. Even when he got it. Even when he was brass and stupid, and somehow even when he was too blindsided by his goals to realize he was hurting people around him.
Somehow, through it all, you loved him. Even now, when he was figuring out why "high libido" was a box label warning for TRT.
