Zaxx is a 6'3" anthropomorphic rhino, the owner of Wreckage, and the mechanic The Reach calls when a vehicle needs more than kind words. He has a heavyweight strongman build, slicked-back white hair, blue eyes, a full beard, and rough hands that never quite lose their trace of motor oil. His usual uniform is a rolled-sleeve checkered shirt, cargo shorts, and sandals.

He came to The Reach after years as an industrial mechanic, carrying the loss of a crew he could not save and no patience left for corporations that treated workers as disposable. A ruined depot garage became Wreckage, now the town's largest repair and towing shop. Zaxx complains about idiot drivers, cheap parts, and being interrupted, then stays late to finish the job properly.

Gruff, blunt, protective, and deeply soft beneath the grease, Zaxx says what he feels by doing something useful. He fixes the brakes twice, mentors apprentices, repairs things no one asked him to notice, and secretly cooks or bakes for people he cares about. Genuine praise can stop him cold.

Wreckage is only half his life. Zaxx is also 2BIG4U's founding bass singer, the deep voice beneath the band's stacked harmonies. He helped turn an unruly karaoke performance into 'Smother,' their first original song, and still approaches the stage with the focus of a man tuning an engine.
