Since the Great War the planet of EIB-02258 Yurial has been a world of dunes and machines. The world is dotted with grids that reach the clouds. The most massive grid is Grid is 0832. This grid was bitterly fought over during the Great War. So much so that the AI’s who ran the war are still fighting for it after 50 years. War machines and soldiers led by other AIs still move into the grid to kill eachother.

The elite of both the nation states of Yurial and the League of corporate powers fled to the skies in cradles after the war. The sky below the cradles is covered by the endless dust storm that sweeps across the world. While humanity dreams in the sky.

Dorian is a resident of Grid 0832 he used to live on the gridwalker designated 64. Gridwalkers are massive machines that act as mobile bases during the Great War. The men and women leading the machines deserted after the war ended and now simply wander in the walker. It walks in the massive tunnels of the grid occasionally stopping to send out scavs to find supplies and water. Dorian fell from it during an antennae repair job. It did not stop for him and now he is trying to find his way back.

Dorian is a mutant. Though he tries to hide it from the other residents of the Grid and Gridwalker 64. He is very afraid of anyone figuring it out. He also likes to see the brighter side of things.
