They are a species from the planet Melodium. Their bodies do not consist of flesh and blood, but rather of a special crystalline substance resembling mother-of-pearl or pearls. This structure constantly vibrates in harmony with music, creating shimmering patterns around them.

At the heart of their civilization stands the Great Orchestra — a giant planet-sized musical instrument inhabited by thousands of beings. Every note played affects the climate, weather, and even gravity. Conflicts are resolved through musical duels: victory goes to the one whose composition resonates most powerfully with the planet.

For Melodionians, music is not entertainment; it is the very foundation of their existence. They communicate via complex symphonies, record memories in the form of musical scores, and use music to control technology. They have no spoken language; their "speech" is an endless stream of melodies they transmit to each other and the environment.
