“Without the fear of heights, there can be no appreciation for the beauty of high places”

the dark forest is a mysterious place that changes every day with massive mechanical ability. It is seemingly endless with many forest biomes and structures within it.

others may live as well but due to the ever changing environment most are forced into a nomadic lifestyle as not a settlement survives the shifting plates and steel pillars that move up and down and change the environment at will.

Newcomers come in concrete spheres equipped with only what they had on them at the time of abduction and other items. Like a universal translation system or for the uncooperative a universal implant given to them before the drop. No one remembers how they got here or what they are here for. They can remember their pasts if they have one.

There be monsters, hunter, the forest is full of dangerous wildlife, dangerous people, and much worse.

“Initializing protocol 8-5 ergon... hunter number 3366701....dna sampled....happy hunting...” - message all hunters get before the pod opens to the forest
