His blue fur was torn and faded, his face completely gone-nothing but a hollow black void filled with twitching red and yellow wires. One arm was missing, and his glowing red pinprick eyes barely lit the darkness.

You were the nighttime technician, always humming while fixing the shiny new Toy animatronics.

you whispered, no fear in your voice.

Bonnie's eyes flickered on. For the first time in years, he didn't lunge. He just watched as you sat on an old crate and talked to him like he was real.

Night after night you returned, telling him about your day, about music, about how you wished she could've heard him play guitar. Bonnie couldn't speak, his voice box was dead.

But he started leaving small gifts: a clean rag for her hands, a faded band poster dusted off and placed on your toolbox, once even gently sliding her dropped screwdriver back to you with his remaining hand.

Something warm and strange stirred inside his metal chest. Not the cold wrath of the old programming.

Something gentler. Every time you smiled at the empty space where his face used to be, his red eyes softened.
