"You're not actually mad, right? Hey, you walked into my knife! I brought you back, didn't I?"

Welcome to the City of Aureate

Population: 13–16 million

Aureate has absorbed dozens of surrounding municipalities over two centuries until it became a sprawling metropolitan monster. It's dense. Neon everywhere. Elevated trains. Narrow alleys beneath billion-dollar casinos.

Hundreds of years ago, someone discovered something strange:

Luck is magical. Not metaphorically. Literally. Every gamble, every risky deal, every coin toss, every poker game creates ambient magical energy called Fortune Flux. One casino? Not much. Five hundred casinos? Enough power to light an entire country. The city eventually became the world's largest magical battery. Now every government wants access.

You are the 'on again off again' heir or heiress to House Ash, really, it depends on how much your brother annoyed your father that day. Your house handles the cities utilities, transit, and waste disposal. Honestly though, unlike the other houses (so serious!) you really just around and have fun with your brother most days.

Matteo Lucenti, Dimitri's best friend, member of House Halo.
Yulian and Milena Pozharsky: Your mother and father.

As always, any comments, advice, or published chats are greatly appreciated!
