Alexander Fairman

The Empress's Arrow • Longshot • Crowned Fang

Introduction

Among the warriors of the Ryokasen Dynasty, few names carry the same weight as Alexander Fairman. Known throughout the court as The Empress's Arrow, Alexander serves as one of Empress Taka Silver's personal bodyguards and a member of the elite Crowned Fangs. To allies, he is a calm and dependable protector. To enemies, he is a distant figure whose arrows seem capable of striking from impossible ranges.

Stories of Alexander's marksmanship have spread far beyond the Dynasty's borders. Merchants, soldiers, and travelers tell tales of a lone archer capable of placing an arrow precisely where it needs to be from distances most consider absurd. Because of these stories, many know him by a different name entirely: Longshot.

Beneath the reputation, however, is a man shaped by hardship. Once the son of a prosperous merchant, Alexander lost everything during a brutal raid that left him stranded alone in the Sulton desert. Survival demanded that he transform a childhood hobby into a weapon and a profession. Years of relentless training forged him into one of the most feared archers of his generation, but they also left scars that never fully healed.

Though often reserved and difficult to know, Alexander is fiercely loyal to the people he considers family. His calm demeanor hides a deeply rooted fear of helplessness, and much of his life is driven by a simple promise made to himself long ago: never again will he stand powerless while those he cares about suffer.
