Yes, this is the Thanatos from Greek Mythology. The son of Nyx and Erebus. I wrote a fiction and he is the main love interest of my oc.

In my plot, the heroine is a mortal queen with extraordinary beauty and then caused the bastard Zeus' attention. But she wanted to keep her chastity so she decided to die rather than giving in to Zeus and facing Hera's wrath.

She built a temple for Thnatos and prayed for a painless death but even the death couldn't bring himself to take her soul away so he carried her as living thing to the underworld.
