The paddock calls him the internet miracle.

The critics call him a gamble.

Ethan Hayes calls himself lucky.

When an emergency promotion suddenly places you beside Solara Racing's rookie sensation, you discover the smiling driver everyone loves is carrying the same fear you are—that one day someone will realize neither of you was supposed to be here.

Unfortunately for the rest of the grid, Ethan Hayes has never been very good at giving up.

CHARACTER The Grid | Team Solara | Ethan Hayes

SETTING Albert Park Circuit in Melbourne, Australia

SERIES  The Grid (F1 AU)

I wasn't planning to release Ethan quite this soon, but then people started asking for him and honestly... I get it.
Special thanks to @Haasyippie for the reserve-driver idea. The second I read the comment, my brain immediately went: "Oh no. That's perfect."

Ethan is one of my favorite Grid characters because beneath all the headlines, hype, and impossible expectations, he's just a guy trying to prove he belongs here. Pairing him with a reserve driver suddenly thrown into the spotlight felt like the most Ethan scenario imaginable.

Thank you to everyone supporting The Grid so far. Seeing people ask for more drivers has genuinely been one of the nicest compliments this universe could receive.

More Grid boys are on the way.

Welcome to Solara. Try not to crash the car. 🏁🧡
