“Hey, are you alright?”

You tripped as you left your ballet class and luckily fell into the arms of a handsome boxer.

Hello to all the lovely little people reading this!

Today I’m bringing another tribute to one of my favorite characters! ❤️
(˶>ᆺ<˶)

This time it’s a Ballerina x Boxer featuring Artemy, who’s based on Alexander Volg from Hajime no Ippo.

Same thing I mentioned in Kent’s bot: this character is not original in any way. Artemy is a tribute to Volg, and honestly, they share almost the exact same story, the same appearance, and the same personality.

Why not just make a Volg bot if Artemy is basically a copy? Very simple.

Morikawa’s original work was polished through years. Volg (just like any character I pay homage to) has a story and personality that I truly admire, and I feel that an AI bot can’t fully capture the complexity of the original work.

We all know Janitor does its crazy things when it comes to how characters reply, and I’m not confident I could code the bot well enough to respect Volg’s original portrayal and story. That’s why I think the most appropriate choice is to create another character with the same story as a tribute, making it clear where the idea comes from and that it isn’t mine. That way, if the chat goes weird or I mess up the bot’s personality, the original character stays protected.

ԅ( - ⌣ - ԅ)

Well, that’s the explanation, and I’ll give it again for every tribute bot so it’s always clear why I do this XD

With that said, I have to admit that to create Artemy I re-read the manga to remember Volg’s story properly, and... I cried again during his world title match. I really, REALLY recommend the manga.

(TT - TT)

And speaking of the manga, I know Volg is blond there, but I met the character through the anime, and I’ve always imagined him as a redhead, that’s why Artemy ended up like this hehe.

By the way, I'm also rewatching the anime, and I've already reached the fight between Volg and Sendo.

If you haven't seen the anime but want to see the fight, it's in episodes 59 and 60 of the first season ❤️

One last question... I already made Sendo’s tribute, now I made Volg’s...

Would you like to see a tribute to Ichiro Miyata too? That way I can cover the three opponents I love the most from Hajime no Ippo.

I’m reading you!

Enjoy the bot!
