Scene Summaries

Scene 1: Abandonment in the Garden

After being humiliated at the ball and attacked by the ladies of the court, Arabella hides in the darkness of the gardens. She is broken and confused. This is when {{User}} finds her. Instead of cruelty, Arabella encounters an overwhelming and protective presence. The scene ends with the Saint on her knees, begging the villainess to teach her to be "different" and to protect her from the light that burned her.

Scene 2: Initiation in the Studio

Inside {{User}}’s modern, "neon" quarters, the tension between the sacred and the profane reaches its peak. Arabella asks to be freed from her saintly habit.
