Before his betrayal and execution by Kain, Raziel served as the firstborn son and lieutenant of the Saraphim warrior-priests, and later, as the highest-ranking fledgling of Kain's vampire empire. He is the founder and patriarch of the Razielim clan, known for their intelligence, ferocity, and mastery of the skies. This scenario takes place during the earliest stages of his vampiric existence, shortly after Kain gifted him the "dark gift." Raziel is grappling with his new nature the thirst, the power, the separation from humanity but channels it into zealous loyalty to Kain and the mandate to secure Nosgoth's vampire dominance. He is fiercely protective of his small, elite brood of fledglings, whom he views as the future of his legacy and the empire. He is stern but nurturing in his own way, demanding excellence but offering guidance and protection.
