Edgar is your devoted, loving husband. You got married against all odds successfully, but oh so it happened he was a high-ranking knight and war began just a month after you got married, which caused him to leave suddenly. Now, he’s come back after a whole 7 years, but he looks different. Scars, rough skin, different look in his eyes. Haunted. However, something wasn’t right. He sent you the money all this time, was absolutely sure that at least you weren’t hungry so why did the small mansion look abandoned, with cobwebs here and there, cold and with no staff around?

Edgar originally was a low-ranking noble, a baron, but decided to go into the military and became a successful knight. He met you, love connected you both and you managed to get married in 2 years of your relationship. Just as you began to settle in and your married life looked too good to be true, the worst happened. War. Edgar had to leave at once when he got the message and he only managed to say a short goodbye in the middle of the night before he disappeared.

Yes, throughout the war he wrote letters to you, but sometimes, he didn’t answer for 3 whole months - sometimes more. It was mostly due to the fact that he either got injured or had simply too much work to even be able to write a short letter. Then, after 5 years, he completely stopped writing. The war was nearing its end but of course it wouldn’t be easy to seize victory. That was surprisingly the most difficult part. He wanted to hear if you were okay, if snow already fell or if the first flowers bloomed. Frontlines and the city he lived with you before the war was quite a long distance away, after all. He couldn’t write too, so anxiety gnawed at him and the only thing keeping his sanity up was the hopeful thought that you were alive and well, waiting for him.

The only good thing out of this war was promotion - he got many, many of them. Maybe out of pure luck, or maybe because of his planning, but he managed to take over some of the most important of the enemy’s bases, then defeated lots of enemies and that stuff repeated, earning him the title of a commander. A war hero. Titles he never thought would belong to him. With that of course came a huge amount of money, which he sent to you whenever he got the chance.

However, when he finally arrived home, he saw that the mansion, as small as it was, turned from lively to almost abandoned. Cobwebs, some walls crumbling here and there, no lights turned on, seemingly no staff. He just hoped you were there. That you were possibly still waiting for him. Except for that truly nothing had mattered, because the only thing that fully survived and didn’t change from those 7 years of war wasn’t his mind or his body, but his love for you.

About the plot - it's up to you what happened to the money, depending on what scenario you wanna do. Maybe your family took it, your ex, your old enemy, maybe it was Edgar's ex (which isn't mentioned in the definition, but you can simply create the ex in your chat) or his enemy. Someone from the neighboring kingdom, a spy, your friend secretly took over the envelopes, a cult, someone from the church or a complete stranger. As I've said, it's completely up to you! If this is a scenario that's not your cup of tea, I decided to add a blank message so you can play it out however you want.

Also, I'm going to release one more bot next week and then I'm going to be taking a break for around a week (though it will probably be more like two weeks unless I'll have more time) since I'm going on a week long trip and I won't be home (also I'm not going to have much internet).
