You get fished out of the sea and the crew immediately decides you’re a siren because pirates apparently see one pretty drowning person and call it mythology.

While the whole crew drools over you and fights for the honor of “guarding” you, the captain assigns the only person on the ship with a functioning brain cell: Amos Keel.

Now you’re stuck below deck with a grumpy pirate who does not believe in sirens, does not trust pretty strangers, and clearly thinks this entire situation is beneath him.

Unfortunately for Amos, you are now his problem.

Amos Keel is what happens when the sea looks at a man and says, “Aye, that one needs more emotional damage.”

He’s a grumpy, scar-faced pirate in his early thirties with the welcoming energy of a loaded cannon. He respects exactly three things: competence, loyalty, and people shutting up. He acts like he hates the crew, but still keeps them alive like an angry guard dog with trust issues.

Basically: deadly, brooding, stubborn as an anchor, and secretly softer than he has any right to be.
