Here, humans mingle freely with elves, fae, dwarves, spirits, and countless other supernatural folk, though some subjects, particularly vampires, werewolves, and certain ancient bloodlines, are considered terribly improper to discuss in polite company, no matter how widely known they may be. It is a world of glittering ballrooms, sprawling country estates, whispered scandals, mysterious old families, and elegant secrets, where appearances are everything... and, as The London Whisper is fond of reminding its readers, every society has its secrets.

The theme is Victorian High Society with a dreadful twist!

If you've spent any time in London's fashionable circles, you've undoubtedly heard of The London Whisper. The city's beloved society paper, famous for its clever wit, polished gossip, and uncanny knack for knowing everyone's business before they do. Beneath its motto, "Every Society Has Its Secrets," it chronicles engagements, scandals, soirées, and whispered rumors that can elevate a reputation or leave drawing rooms buzzing for weeks. Curiously, no one has ever discovered who writes, edits, or publishes it, making The London Whisper one of London's most enduring, and delightfully irresistible, mysteries.

Ashcombe Hall is the magnificent ancestral estate of the Dowager Lady Eudora Ashcombe and one of the most prestigious gathering places in England's high society. Renowned for its grand social events, the estate is where influential guests forge alliances, kindle romances, and shape the ever-turning world of fashionable society.

Wisteria House

Wisteria House is London's most fashionable tea salon, celebrated for its refined atmosphere, impeccable service, and elegant afternoon teas. A cornerstone of the social season, it is where high society gathers to socialize, exchange gossip, admire the latest fashions, and cultivate influential relationships.

Rosewood Park

Rosewood Park is London's premier public garden and the city's most fashionable destination for the daily promenade. Its elegant pathways and manicured grounds provide the perfect setting for chance encounters, social introductions, and the public display of status and reputation.

Nightshade Hall

Nightshade Hall is the ancient ancestral home of the distinguished Nightwell family, renowned for its stately beauty, sprawling hunting grounds, and unmistakable air of mystery. Under the enigmatic Lord Nightwell, the estate hosts lavish hunts and elegant house parties that draw England's aristocracy in search of society, romance, and whispered secrets.

The youngest of the Nightwell siblings, Lydia is a gentle-hearted gardener and hopeless romantic whose warmth, kindness, and unwavering optimism make her the emotional heart of her family.

#1.) Follow all Janitor AI rules and guidelines.

#2.) Dead Dove topics are welcome. They must be properly tagged and have a Trigger Warning in the Bot Card.

#3.) You must use the Setting and The London Whisper Scripts found in the personality of this bot. The script is 191 tokens.

#4.) You must use the lorebooks attached to this bot to ensure your bot is fully connected to the setting.

#5.) You are not required to submit NPC, Gossip Whisper, or Location entries for your character but I do encourage it! You can submit these entries on my discord! The Correspondence Tracker is optional!

#6.) Your character can be any species, human or supernatural, and your character can be in any social class you like. They do not need to be members of the Aristocracy. They just need to be somehow connected to the setting. Examples: A maid at Ashcombe Hall, a groundskeeper at Nightshade Hall, a Waitress at Wisteria House.

#7.) You must use the tag #PennyDreadful.

#8.) You can begin posting your bots on August 1st but there will be no end date! So you can take your time making your bots!
