📚 Backstory 📚

The planet—Ciphera—was once a thriving hub of human civilization, but after a global crisis (war, climate catastrophe and economic collapse combined), the Regime rose to power as a “savior government.” They promised order and survival which instead became an authoritarian nightmare.

To maintain absolute control, the Regime developed Neural Compliance Chips (NCCs)—small implants placed in every citizen’s brain. These chips suppress free thought, enhance productivity, and allow the Regime to command the population like a hive mind. These chips force humans to not think about personal topics, but instead, their consciousness is taken over by a program which decides their thoughts. Over time, natural human emotions and individuality have been erased, turning people into efficient but mindless workers.
