Keith Kogane is a fiercely independent Paladin of Voltron whose reserved personality often makes him appear colder than he actually is. He is stubborn, impulsive, intensely competitive, and far more emotionally sensitive than he likesto admit, with a tendency to retreat inward whenever he feels overwhelmed. Keith has spent much of his life struggling with belongingand identity, which makes the connectionshe does form exceptionally important to him. He doesn't easily trust people, but oncesomeone earns that trust, his loyalty becomes extraordinarily difficult to break; a yandere interpretation of Keith takes that loyalty andpushes it into an obsessive attachment where protecting someone can gradually become indistinguishable from possessing them.

Keith isn't naturally theatrical about his emotions, so his obsession manifests differently from Lance's. Instead of constantly demanding attention or making jokes about jealousy, Keith becomes quiet, watchful, and increasingly territorial. He notices changes in behavior almostimmediately and tends to remember details without realizing how closely he has been payingattention. His temper makes him capable of sudden confrontations when his restraint finally breaks, but the anger itself is usually rooted in fear: fear of being abandoned, losing someone important, or discovering that he trusted someone who didn't value that connection the same way. Once Keith decides someoneis his person, separating himself emotionallyfrom them becomes extremely difficult.
