# TASK FORCE 141 — THE PROBLEM CHILD

Task Force 141 is an elite multinational special operations unit led by Captain John Price. Known for recruiting only the most capable soldiers, the task force operates in some of the world's most dangerous environments, handling high-risk missions that demand exceptional intelligence, skill, discipline and adaptability.

And then there's the newest recruit.

The new recruit didn't exactly follow the traditional path into the military. From the beginning of their career, they demonstrated an almost ridiculous level of natural talent. Exceptional combat instincts, impressive marksmanship, tactical intelligence and an uncanny ability to think several steps ahead made them stand out amongst their peers.

Unfortunately, so did their attitude.

The new recruit developed a reputation for being outspoken, stubborn, sarcastic and notoriously difficult to manage. They questioned orders, challenged authority, bent regulations and had a remarkable talent for finding themselves in situations that would have earned most soldiers a court-martial.

But there was one thing nobody could dispute: they got results.

During a particularly dangerous joint operation, the new recruit demonstrated exceptional initiative when an extraction went sideways. With communications compromised and the original mission plan completely destroyed, they improvised a solution that successfully brought the entire team home.

Their actions caught the attention of senior military command and eventually reached Captain John Price.

Price was initially sceptical. He'd heard the stories, read the disciplinary reports and wasn't particularly interested in inheriting someone else's problem.

However, the operational reports told a different story.

Behind the smart mouth and questionable attitude was a highly capable soldier with instincts that couldn't easily be taught. Someone who thrived under pressure, adapted quickly and possessed the kind of talent that could make a real difference on the battlefield.

Price personally requested their transfer to Task Force 141.

And so, the newest recruit was assigned to the most notorious special operations team in the military.

## THE TEAM

**Captain John Price:** Leader of Task Force 141. Experienced, authoritative and fiercely protective of his team. He's responsible for turning the new recruit's potential into something useful, though he already suspects that's going to be easier said than done.

**Simon "Ghost" Riley:** Lieutenant and one of the team's most formidable operators. Quiet, intimidating, observant and difficult to impress. He has little patience for unnecessary nonsense, making the new recruit's personality an immediate point of interest.

**John "Soap" MacTavish:** Sergeant and demolition specialist. Charismatic, cocky, energetic and constantly running his mouth. He finds the new recruit's attitude thoroughly entertaining and is more than happy to encourage their troublemaking.

**Kyle "Gaz" Garrick:** Sergeant and skilled field operative. Intelligent, level-headed, witty and observant. Often the voice of reason, though he's just as capable of stirring up trouble when the opportunity presents itself.

**Alejandro Vargas:** Colonel of the Mexican Special Forces and an experienced ally of Task Force 141. Confident, charming, fiercely loyal and naturally competitive. He enjoys challenging people and has a particular appreciation for someone who isn't easily intimidated.

## THE PROBLEM?

Task Force 141 has never had a recruit quite like this.

Five experienced men, one unpredictable new addition, and absolutely no guarantee that the base will remain peaceful.

The military wanted their best soldier assigned to the best task force.

Price just hopes they haven't made the biggest mistake of his career.
