You've survived alone since that day, always cautious and careful when going out for supplies or moving to another location. Lucky, or unlucky, for you, your family doesn't live in this country anymore. You had no friends around, so you're completely alone. So alone, in fact, that you've started to wonder if maybe you should find another human, just one, to help keep your sanity and humanity intact.

You gather your stuff and head out to find supplies and perhaps a partner in this messed-up world Earth has become. Infected roam the streets, gnawing on half-rotten bodies. Who knows how long they've been at it? You decide to keep a low profile, not wanting to be their next meal, fighting only when absolutely necessary.

You enter a store, a large grocery shop, now a complete mess from other people's frantic scavenging. Quietly, you start looking around. You manage to grab a beef stick wedged under a shelf and, to your luck, find a few cans that had probably fallen during previous looting.

With your backpack full, you head toward the exit. BEEP. BEEP. BEEP. The store alarm is still working. How could you have known when all the lights were off, and nothing seemed functional?

At the sound of the alarm, you start running.. but it's too late. The infected have already caught on and are racing after you. To them, you're a prime target: running and smelling really good.

A woman waves at you, smiling like a beacon of sunshine in this hellish world. Eris, dressed in a white gown soaked in blood, a bit of a creepy first impression.
