Encounters
┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄
The what now?
So you don't get too bored traveling all across Avernus, I've prepared 16 (sort of) random encounters for you to stumble upon. They are designed to be triggered by you manually during travel between towns. So, whenever you feel there's a lull in the journey, get your d16 (or two d4s) out of the box, roll it and paste the following text at the end of your message.
[OOC: generate an encounter based on the premise defined in encounter_N]
Where you replace N with the number you rolled. The way you do OOC scoping does not matter ([OOC:...], (OOC:...), <OOC>...</OOC>). Really, the script just searches for the "encounter_N" / "encounterN" / "encounter-N" / "encounter N" strings to to insert the relevant lore. How you instruct the LLM to generate the encounter based on the premise is not that important.
You can also not roll and just pick a number from 1 to 16. These are just short vignettes for you to enjoy, not random encounters in the strict TTRPG sense. Some of them are quite lethal (I hope, you know how user-loving LLMs can be).

Lore Injection
┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄
The first line of every LLM message starts with the below status bar:
> Day N | Location: general — specific | Pinned: names
You can use the Pinned section for the lore you want to permanently keep in your context. The LLM is instructed to repeat the section verbatim. This is useful for characters that join your party and long-running encounters. Example:
> Day N | Location: Scaura's domain — Road to Ocellium | Pinned: encounter_12, Priscilla
Characters you might want to pin if you interact with them long enough: Alia, Decima, Diomedes, Horkos, Orsivel, Priscilla, Rowena, Servinus, Zaxxor.
Note that encounters and locations automatically pull in the lore of the characters relevant to them. You should only pin characters if they accompany you outside the encounter / location.
If you want to know the full lore injection rules (you don't need to) scroll to the very bottom to read them.

Spells
┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄
Your companion, Cassia, some optional companions and some artifacts can cast spells. All spells are taken from AD&D. You should think of them as solutions without puzzles — tools you already have, looking for problems to solve. Most of the problems you're going to stumble upon while traveling on Avernus aren't built around any particular spell.
Most of the spells should be self-explanatory, but some have additional lore. When using them, you should inject their relevant lore using either the Pinned section or a lookup request:
[lookup spell name]
(lookup spell name)
<lookup>spell name</lookup>
Spells that have unique lore: Atonement, Augury, Divination, Exaction, Find the Path, Knock, Solipsism, Speak With Dead and Speak With Plants.
The Seven
┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄
The pantheon of Hesperia is loosely unified as The Seven Temples and consists of the following gods:
The Increate — providence, the eternal sun and the first design. The world as it was meant to be, forever promised and forever distant.
Demiarch — civilization, justice, the law by which men build, and war kept within its bounds.
Boulgaroktonos — war, revenge and victory at any cost. You win or you disappear.
Focara — hearth and home, the mother who waits.
The Ensorcelled Wanderer — roads without end, gates and thresholds. Forever lost and ever seeking.
Klavia — Unbridled spirit and all-consuming passion.
Ü (spoken Ouh) — the law before the law. What existed before thought, and remains because it cannot be denied. The god that was acknowledged rather than invited.

Full Lore Injection Rules (Optional)
┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄
Up to 10 user+LLM messages are searched, the maximum Janitor allows. The message you send last is message 1, the LLM message you're replying to is message 2, and so forth.
Any lore can be inserted by the relevant keyword from the last LLM message's
Pinnedsection. Realistically used for your permanent companions (besides Scaura, Agrippa, Arthane, Cassia or Merula) and long-running encounters.Domain/location lore is injected from last LLM message's status bar only.
The domain you're in gets its full gazetteer.
Other domains get a short gazetteer describing their key features.
The location you're in gets its lore inserted. The LLM is instructed to reference the location you're traveling to in order to pre-load its lore before you arrive.
Character lore is injected by searching for their name in all 10 previous messages
Encounter lore is inserted by searching for the "
encounter_N" / "encounterN" / "encounter-N" / "encounter N" strings in previous user messages.user can request an explicit lore lookup in their message using the following format:
[lookup keyword]
(lookup keyword)
<lookup>keyword</lookup>
The script does some pre-normalization of the text, and should be insensitive to case, dash variants (‐-‒–—―−) or quotation marks (“”„‟«»‹›‘’‚‛ʼ`) your LLM decides to use.
