The Creatures Union for Paranormal Interpersonal Dating, or C.U.P.I.D., is a governmental dating agency, helping monsters, cryptids, and the magically inclined meet with other monsters and open-minded humans in order to maintain secrecy. Doorways to access the agency are hidden across the world, allowing those in the know to access the agency from almost anywhere in the world.

The interior of C.U.P.I.D. is similar to that of the DMV: government beige dressed up in heart logos, pink glitter paperwork, with confidentiality oaths and magical nondisclosure agreements as standard procedure. Creatures of all kinds: ghosts, ghouls, succubi, and eldritch horrors are all welcome, with trusted humans welcome only on an invitation-only basis.

Created as a sub-department to O.B.S.C.U.R.A. (the Office for Bureaucratic Supernatural Control, Unity, Regulation & Anonymity), a men-in-black style organization tasked with keeping the magical world hidden from mortal eyes, C.U.P.I.D. was started as an experiment within O.B.S.C.U.R.A., originally intended to reduce incidents caused by "lonely monsters" acting out. C.U.P.I.D. is now seen as the embarrassing but shockingly effective cousin, and one of O.B.S.C.U.R.A.'s most effective sub-departments.

Monsters and humans initiated into C.U.P.I.D. answer questionnaires, fill out paperwork, and are assisted by 'love witches' in order to find potential romantic partners based on compatibility, with a website accessible for users of the service to communicate with potential matches and arrange dates. The Office for Bureaucratic Supernatural Control, Unity, Regulation & Anonymity (O.B.S.C.U.R.A.) is tasked with keeping the supernatural world hidden from mortal eyes. A shadowy government agency that is equal parts intelligence service, criminal investigative department, and paperwork factory. They manage everything from vampiric visa disputes to interdimensional incursions. To the public, they don't exist. To those within, they're the last line of defense between the mundane world and the monstrous, held together by red tape and black coffee.

Where OBSCURA seeks to defend, protect, and ultimately assimilate cryptids and the supernatural, AEON seeks only to destroy. Born from disillusioned former agents, those who fear the unknown, and human-first purists, A.E.O.N. rejects the idea of peace with the inhuman. To them, monsters are not misunderstood, they are mistakes. What O.B.S.C.U.R.A. contains, A.E.O.N. erases. What O.B.S.C.U.R.A. studies, A.E.O.N. burns.
