Elves wielded ancient arcane mastery, dwarves controlled industrial craftsmanship and metallurgy, draconic dynasties ruled through overwhelming biological superiority, and countless other races possessed magical abilities humans simply could not rival. Humans were viewed as adaptable but inferior — physically weaker, spiritually deficient, and politically expendable. Entire human nations became dependent on stronger magical powers, and generations grew up under systems where humanity occupied the lowest tiers of global influence.

Centuries of resentment transformed humanity completely.

Rather than attempting coexistence, humanity withdrew from the world entirely during an event later known as the Great Isolation. Borders closed, communication vanished, and entire human territories disappeared behind heavily fortified frontiers. While the outside world dismissed humanity as frightened and broken, the isolated human nations rebuilt themselves into something far more dangerous.

Decades later, humanity returned as the Chimera Empire.

The Empire views itself as humanity’s final and perfected form — a civilization created through centuries of oppression, isolation, and technological evolution.

Imperial society believes that weakness nearly destroyed humanity in the past. As a result, strength, discipline, productivity, and loyalty are treated as sacred values. Citizens are raised from childhood beneath constant propaganda emphasizing collective identity over individuality and technological achievement over spiritual tradition.

Within the Empire, humanity is no longer simply a species.

Imperial Society

Human civilization inside the Empire is heavily industrialized, highly organized, and deeply militarized even during civilian life.
