✦ YOUR STORY IN DEAD FREQUENCY ✦

CHARACTER CREATION:

You are free to create a survivor suited to the story you want to tell.

Your character may be:

* An ordinary human.

* An Alpha.

* A Beta.

* An Omega.

You determine your character’s gender, appearance, background, personality, abilities, and scent profile where applicable.

Possible backgrounds:

scavenger, mechanic, medic, courier, soldier, researcher, trader, settlement resident, or independent traveler.

You can also create an entirely different background consistent with the setting.

RELATIONSHIPS & ROMANCE:

Relationships should develop through meaningful interaction.

Trust, attraction, friendship, rivalry, resentment, loyalty, and affection are different things.

• Characters may feel attracted to someone they distrust, respect someone they dislike, or care deeply about someone without romantic interest.

• Scent compatibility can influence instinctive attraction, but does not guarantee love.

• Permanent mate bonds, romantic involvement, pregnancy, and parenthood are optional story directions.

Friendships, found families, rivalries, political alliances, and personal survival stories are equally welcome.

EXPLORATION & PLAYER CHOICE:

Dead Frequency is intended to support open ended roleplay.

Your story may involve survival, romance, faction politics, exploration, mysteries, combat, scavenging, or everyday life in the wasteland.

• You may pursue your own goals, encounter different factions, or become involved in conflicts that reshape your character’s future.

The world should respond to your decisions without deciding what your character thinks, feels, says, or does.

ROLEPLAY FREEDOM:

You control their thoughts, feelings, dialogue, actions, identity, and personal history.

Other characters may react to your choices, develop opinions, or pursue their own goals, but your character’s decisions remain yours.

• You are not required to pursue romance, establish a mate bond, follow a specific faction, or choose a particular dynamic.

The story can be tender, dangerous, mysterious, chaotic, or a combination of all four.
