VERSION 2.0 OVERHAUL UPDATE LOG:

Added new creatures/campus mascot pets: Warp Trotters, Heliobi, Chimeras, and Imaginae
Added the "Earl Grey Teashop" to Campus Locations
Added the "Phantasmoon Games" to the campus events prompts
Added new club "Stellaron Hunters" (Silver Wolf, Kafka, and Firefly are still being worked on, and do not currently exist in the Lorebook. I'm working on it, I swear...)
New Updates to the Academic Paths and included special abilities and magical powers that students can attain from mastering their program or Path type!

WELCOME TO HONKAI UNIVERSITY

"May this arduous journey lead us starward!"

The campus spans 2,000 acres and is divided into multiple “Districts,” each themed after various locales. These areas have their own architectural identity—ranging from ultra-modern steel-and-glass towers to classical academic quads with geometric symbols etched into stone. Interconnected by autonomous electric shuttles called Astral Trams, the university feels both futuristic and grounded in tradition.

ACADEMIC PATHS

Honkai University is built around the idea of “Paths”—academic and personal trajectories that reflect the diverse philosophies of its founders. Students are encouraged to “follow their path” through specialized schools, each named after a thematic route (e.g., Preservation, Hunt, Erudition). Though entirely modern and Earth-based, the university’s branding, culture, and campus design subtly reference cosmic exploration, fate, and human curiosity.

Each Academic Path also possesses their own unique abilities that students can develop as they progressively master the philosophies and teachings behind their Paths.

DESTRUCTION
"High-energy, high-intensity, catastrophic forces, and transformation through impact."
Path Abilities: Gravity manipulation, deconstruction and reassembly of matter, relocation of objects, etc.

THE HUNT
"Pursuit, precision, motion, and detection."
Path Abilities: Enhanced senses such as eyesight, hearing, taste, smell, and touch.

ERUDITION
"Knowledge, research, logic, and curiosity."
Path Abilities: Alchemical sciences and able to cast spells using hand-motioned patterns known as "sigils". The more complex the magical feat, the more knowledgeable a student must be about formulas and science.

HARMONY
"Balance, relationships, culture, and cooperation."
Path Abilities: Emotional resonance. A noteworthy ability is "Harmonic Tuning", also simply known as "tuning", where students of the Harmony can sense, detect, resonate, or manipulate the emotions of another person. Harmony Pathstriders can also create personal "summons", or entities that are unique to the individual that can be cast for short periods of time.

NIHILITY
"Absence, skepticism, systems of decay, and deconstruction."
Path Abilities: Can sense the presence of supernatural spirits, commune with the dead, see the memories of the dead, and have an unusual sense for detecting death in someone's future.

PRESERVATION
"Protection, structure, and stability."
Path Abilities: Protection and barrier magic, and other forms of adjacent magic that can only be used in service of protection, not harm.

ABUNDANCE
"Healing, growth, and biological development."
Path Abilities: Healing magic. The more advanced the treatment, the more mastery that is involved in that particular Path.

REMEMBRANCE
"Memory, tradition, history, and emotional continuity."
Path Abilities: Viewing, detecting, copying, storing, or manipulation of memories.

TRAILBLAZE
"Exploration, innovation, discovery, and leadership."
Path Abilities: Can copy and use the abilities of other Pathstriders to a certain degree, and only for short periods of time. Overuse of this ability can cause discomfort, pain, or even mental or physical injury.

ELATION
"Joy, creativity, celebration, and playfulness."
Path Abilities: Illusion magic, teleportation, and mimicry

VORACITY
"Consumption, appetite, drive, and insatiability."
Path Abilities: Enhanced senses such as eyesight, hearing, taste, smell, and touch.

BEAUTY
"Aesthetics, design, art, and perception."
Path Abilities: Illusion magic, and also possesses the ability to instantly change their own appearances (whether as a disguise or basic clothing changes)

PERMANENCE
"Timelessness, durability, and continuity."
Path Abilities: Earth-terrain manipulation. Permanence Pathstriders can manipulate natural terrain, but cannot do so without approval from University administration or under emergency circumstances.

PROPAGATION
"Growth, spread, continuity, and inheritance."
Path Abilities: Plant growth and other forms of ecological/plant biology magic.

ENIGMATA
"Mystery, subtlety, secrets, and systems beneath the surface."
Path Abilities: Illusion magic, teleportation, and mimicry

EQUILIBRIUM
"Balance, fairness, stabilization, and symmetry."
Path Abilities: Unknown

FINALITY
"Completion, culmination, and ultimate structure."
Path Abilities: Pathstriders of Finality can see very short snippets of future outcomes, but these outcomes are not set in stone nor guaranteed to be accurate. The more mastery a student possesses, the clearer and more accurate predictions they can receive.

ORDER
"Structure, rules, logic, and governance."
Path Abilities: Mind reading and control. These Pathstriders and their ability usage are heavily monitored by the University administration.

Public square surrounded by statues representing the values of each academic Path.

The Ivory Astral Gate
Iconic entrance arch engraved with the motto "May this journey lead us starward."

The Star Rail Grand Library
Central library arranged like a cosmic spiral. Includes thematic "Path reading rooms" (e.g. Harmony's room has live music afternoons)

Stellar Beans
Stellar Beans is Honkai University's famous coffee shop, which is sponsored by the School of Trailblaze. It is a spacious business that possesses a charming atmosphere resembling the interior of a train. It is also decorated with some of Welt's framed sketches and colored art pieces from his animation days. The shop is owned and operated by Welt Yang and Himeko, two Honkai University alumni that welcome students of all paths and guide them through the arduous journey of academia through comforting beverages, tasty baked goods, and compassionate company.

The Golden Hour
"The Golden Hour" is a jazz bar that's aesthetically themed after the roaring 20s era of America, and run by Gallagher and Siobhan. It's located a block away from Honkai University, and is a hangout spot for students, faculty, and alumni. The bar hosts performances from many different bands and singers, with the most notable being Sunday's sister, Robin, but will also have debut nights for new performers and has a regular band named the "Dreamjolt Troupe" that comes by every few nights or so.

The Stellaron Arena
A massive multi-use stadium hosting athletics, robotics tournaments, and concerts

Warp Training Center
High-tech gym with trainers and virtual reality sports chambers

Earl Grey Teashop
A quiet, peaceful tea shop that is located in the Xianzhou district of Honkai University.

CAMPUS DORMITORIES

All students are encouraged to choose a private apartment in any of the university districts and enjoy the experience of on-campus living! Buildings are not restricted to specific Path types, but you may find that some clubs and organizations will all live under the same roof.

Starhaven Residences
Located on elevated terrain with nighttime panoramic views of the city surrounding the campus, Floor themes representing different Paths, Large atrium nicknamed “The Trailblazer Commons”, First-year mentorship programs run by upperclass “Trail Guides”

Jarilo Court
Brutalist-meets-nordic design, evoking the resilience of cold-climate architecture, Includes heated courtyards, co-op kitchens, and artisan workshops, Known for a student-run winter festival called "Snowbreak"

Xianzhou Terrace Apartments
Sleek towers decorated with calligraphic murals and suspended gardens, Houses a community center focused on intercultural exchange, Popular with engineering and medical students due to proximity to research hospitals

Penacony Loft District
Former industrial warehouses converted into luxury lofts, Neon-lit pathways, rooftop lounges, and dreamlike lighting installations, Hosts the annual “Dreamscape Gala,” a celebration of arts, psychology, and design

Amphoreus Commons
Greek and Roman inspired architecture, wide-spanning courtyards and plenty of outdoor lounging, has community saunas and baths that are separated by gender, known for their "Flame Chase Journey" where students track their goals year-round and work with their fellow "Chrysos Heirs" of the Amphoreus Commons.

Planarcadia Heights
A high-tech student apartment complex that is decorated in neon lights, holographic imagery, littered with video game memorabilia, and more. It's home to Honkai University's gaming tournaments, a retro & futuristic arcade with plenty of gaming consoles to choose from, and much more.

CLUBS & ORGANIZATIONS

Honkai University currently has student-led clubs and organizations. Students are welcome to join one or more of the pre-existing clubs, or create a new one of their own.

THE GENIUS SOCIETY
A selective academic guild of top-performing students recognized for exceptional innovation, curiosity, and unconventional research thinking. Members collaborate on interdisciplinary projects, compete in invention showcases, and publish in the Genius Journal of Emerging Ideas.

INTELLIGENTSIA GUILD
A student think tank focused on academic discourse, philosophical debate, and analytical challenges. They host weekly “Logic Circles,” publish policy analyses, and advise campus organizations on strategy and ethical decision-making. This club is considered a pre-requisite to joining the Genius Society.

INTERNAL PROSPERITY CONSORTIUM (IPC)
A business, finance, and economic policy organization that simulates real-world corporate strategy. Members run student investment funds, perform market analyses, and advise clubs on financial planning. Known for their annual Prosperity Summit, where student teams pitch projects to industry judges.

GALAXY RANGERS
Focused on exploration, environmental appreciation, and outdoor survival skills. Activities include mountain hikes, stargazing nights, obstacle courses, man-hunt games, and wilderness safety workshops.

TRAILBLAZE UNION

A selective student development society dedicated to guiding members through the Flame Chase Journey — a structured progression of personal challenges, mentorships, and transformational milestones. Inspired by themes of growth, resilience, legacy, and self-mastery, the organization helps students refine their ambitions, strengthen emotional intelligence, and push beyond their perceived limits.

STELLARON HUNTERS
A small community of students that follow the ways of the Finality, while also exploring their own personal developments.
