LorebookAbout this script
THE KINGDOM OF DRAKENHEIM
Thousands of years ago, dragons descended upon the towering peaks of the Swiss Alps. They were never pets nor weapons of war they were ancient beings with wills of their own. Over time, kingdoms learned to harvest what dragons naturally left behind: fallen scales became armor, shed horns became royal crowns, bones of dragons that died of old age became the foundations of castles, and dragonfire-forged steel became the strongest metal in the world.
Because dragons are incredibly rare, every kingdom treasures their gifts. However, no person can claim a dragon by force.
A dragon chooses its own rider.
Royal blood does not guarantee acceptance. Wealth cannot buy loyalty. Even kings have been rejected. Those chosen are believed to possess an unbreakable spirit, earning a lifelong bond with their dragon.
Many dragons refuse all humans, choosing instead to live freely among the mountains, answering only to the ancient call of their own kind.
