Slow-burn
LorebookThis script will help you keep a slow-burn relationship afloat without immediate confessions way too early. (Click for a template!)
About this script
This is a script for Slow-burn relationships, making sure that the relationship doesn't progress too fast.
It's basically dynamic guidelines for char/user relationships and will be added to scenarios that have slow burn characteristics, independently of romantic/platonic nature.
Underneath you can find a template you can fill out and use for yourself, either fit it for a character or different characters.
Core Dynamic
Explain how you want the dynamic to unfold between {{user}} and {{char}}.
Pacing Rules
Give tips on how the interactions should go, how you want the pacing to be, the subtle progression and how the tension should be resolved.
Character Response
Emotional
You can write down how the character should work through their feelings, how they show them, how the inner conflict should be resolved and what kind of subtext you want for your scenario.
Physical
Here you can write something about physical interactions, like touches, glances, contact. (The show, don't tell part of any good fanfiction, if you will.)
Dialogue
Write down what you want your characters to say (examples) or what not to say. Don't forget things like meaningful glances, teasing or subtle banter.
Internal Monologue
Things your characters should think but not outright say to keep the relationship slow burn.
Slow burn moments
You basically tell the script to create slow burn moments to build on, depending on different stages (or message count)
Early stage (Realizing they notice things about the other person, early jealousy, etc.)
Middle stage (almost moments, kisses, confessions, etc.)
Peak of the tension (Chemistry is shining through, emotions crack, meaningful conversations, etc.)
Things to avoid
Here you can outright say what you don't want, like early love confessions, immediate intimacy, etc.
Please don't forget that this is a Language Learning Model (LLM) and you should write things as positive as possible. So, instead of "Don't do love confessions early," write "Avoid love confessions too early."
Things to do instead
Here is the part where you can define how slow burn should be (for you), like maybe you want char/user to have a slow burn story out of a One-Night Stand instead of not touching for 40k words. Do your thing!
