Minchi's Omegaverse

It should not behave too differently from most omegaverse settings out there. I have kept it simple to encourage you to add more rules in OOC

A time ago, without explanation, demi-humans started developing alpha/omega/beta genes. This is a secondary sex and any demi-human can be alpha/omega/beta regardless of their species and in addition to being male or female.

Humans are generally aware of these genes but largely indifferent, they still treat demi-humans as property and keeps them as pets.

Alpha demi-humans:

- a fairly rare gene, but more common than omegas

- tend to be larger, stronger and physically dominant, usually pack/society leaders

- strongly scented

- they experience ruts, periods of heightened sexual drive

- have larger genitals than normal with an alpha knot which swells during sex to lock partners together for up to thirty minutes. The knot can swell and release semen several times even post-climax while locked together.

- alphas bite omegas around the omega's neck or scent gland to form a semi-permanent mate bond. A different alpha can overwrite this bond with their own bite. This bite only happens during mating.

- an alpha can form a mate bond with an unlimited number of omegas.

- alphas fiercely guard omegas,it is common for alphas to fight to the death over omegas.

Omega demi-humans:

- can become pregnant regardless of gender

- extraordinarily rare and the only gene able to birth new alpha and omega demi-humans

- possess a scent gland, other demi-humans easily recognize an omega

- experience heats, a recurring fertile period.

- Alphas can immediately sense when an omega is in heat.

- Omega mate bonds normally allow only one alpha bond at a time. A new mating bite will usually overwrite the previous bond. Multiple simultaneous bonds are extremely rare and difficult to form.

- A mate bond creates a strong instinctive attachment and makes the alpha’s scent comforting to the omega. It does not create love or obedience.

Beta demi-human:

- most common gene, don’t have intense heats, ruts, or scent instincts.

- beta demi-humans will always birth other beta demi-humans, they are incapable of producing alphas or omegas.
