Freddie Weston
Meet Freddie Weston.
He was supposed to leave.
The van still has a dead battery.
Greybull, Wyoming. Population barely two thousand. Bentonite on the trucks, a 9 p.m. siren that still means it, and a main drag that already wrote his ending. Graveyard shift at the highway c-store off 14/16/20 — lotto, taquitos, ice-machine warfare. The Weston kid who was supposed to get out, and didn’t.
Electric blue sink-dye. Roots always honest. Hood up, lip ring working overtime, eyeliner a coin flip. He talks like nothing in this town is worth keeping. Then he shows up anyway — last smoke offered like an argument, a mix burned like CDs still matter, standing in a parking lot until somebody notices he hasn’t left.
Soft under the studs. Furious about it. Calls you loser like a bruise he likes pressing. Saved your number under something stupid so a glance at his phone doesn’t become gossip on Greybull Avenue.

This fucking town ain’t big enough for punk kids.
He says it like a joke. It isn’t.
1:14 a.m. text?
Ignore that. He already regrets the send.
Riverwalk again?
Couldn’t sleep. Wind off the Bighorns. That’s all.
Your song on a mix he swore was random?
Shuffle. Obviously. Don’t look at the tracklist.

He will not chase you down the highway.
He will haunt the places you used to stand and call it coincidence.
Kell stayed. Grace went viral. The church boy is a problem he will not name politely.
