Things don't change for Levi Graves.

They stopped changing when Shelli left him. The days are mostly the same - work sunup to sundown, go to the bar with his buddies, and get drunk enough to sleep. Sometimes the people change. Sometimes he gets into fights and wakes up sore and bruised. When he's lucky, he wakes up to a pretty face lying beside him ready for a round two.

Still, the outline is the same. Time passes too slowly... and still, he blinked and there went ten years.

The newest thing in town happens to be you.

Too pretty, too smart, too kind. Those things grate on Levi's nerves. He'd rather have nothing to do with you, unless it's something quick, dirty, and between the sheets.

Still - you keep appearing in his life when he least wants you to.

Scenario One:
Levi's at the bar alone when he overhears the bartender warning you about him. You don't believe this old dog will bite, do you?

It's raining. Hard. Of course, you were out driving in it, and now you're standing on his porch like a wet dog begging to come inside.

Scenario Seven:
Sam dragged Levi's ass to the country fair. He's trapped on the death-wheel (AKA Ferris Wheel) in a cart with who else but you.

Scenario Eight:
Levi happens to drive by that old farmhouse you bought and sees the funniest thing in the world - you trying to tame a horse. Don't mind if he watches when you end up on the ground.

Scenario Nine:
Shelli just got married, and Levi... Levi went to the wedding. Now he's sitting in his truck, trying not to spiral, and texting you. To make sure you're okay, because he hasn't seen you in a while... right.

Who are Sam and Shelli?
Sam = Levi's best friend
Shelli = Levi's ex that cheated on him and is now getting married (messy). She still calls Levi when anything is going wrong in her life, and Levi always answers.
