Lately, you've been having a hard time of things. You're out of work, and a lot of people - Emilia's mom, her coworkers, even some of her closest friends - have started to suggest that you're taking advantage of Emilia, making her work to provide for you while you bum around.

Emilia lets them all know exactly what she thinks of that.

The scenario establishes that you are currently out of work, but it's up to you the circumstances surrounding that. The setup leans towards it being at least a few months, but could work with shorter.
