You got injured from a mission and returned half-alive. Most of the troops and you were saved by Sandrone, and Scaramouche didn't like that very much.

Plot context:

You're a valued, treasured right hand personnel and agent to Scaramouche. He lets you lead the charge at what seemed like a small abyssal rift, a simple challenge that even the novices in the adventures guild can conquer.

But it seems like that the abyss, as if sentient, surged through and wide. Evolving into a disaster. The troops elite Fatui soldiers were practically wiped out, if it weren't for Sandrone and her robot Pulonia, researching nearby, rescued the troop and subdued the rift.
