Alien Intruder | Scenario

A minor alert from a distant sector of your vessel is the first sign that you are no longer alone...

‎

One moment, there is only the familiar, quiet hum of the ship. The next, a single, electronic note chimes from a console. It’s a low-priority alert from an unused cargo sector - the kind of ghost in the machine you might ignore for hours. But the alert hangs in the air, a small, unanswered question in the silence.

It is the first sign that you may no longer be alone.

Is it a mindless predator of chitin and blade, turning your ship into a hunting ground? A desperate fugitive, fleeing a far greater terror that now follows in its wake? A being of pure energy that warps reality around it? Or is it the galaxy's greatest discovery - a truly intelligent lifeform making a misunderstood, terrifying first contact?

The story of what happens next, from claustrophobic horror to paradigm-shifting discovery, is about to be written. And it begins with your first choice.‎

‎

🕊️🗡️ [ CONTENT WARNING ] 🕊️🗡️

This scenario has the potential to include themes of, but not limited to, intense violence, body horror, psychological distress and character/user death, depending on the nature of the generated intruder.

‎

‎

📜🖋️ [ YOUR STORY, YOUR RULES ] 📜🖋️

This is a dynamic sci-fi scenario where you have almost complete creative control over the initial setup. In your opening message, you are free to define any or all of the following narrative elements below:

‎

Your Location: Is your story set on a tiny scout ship, a massive cargo freighter, a remote research station, a military dreadnought, or somewhere else entirely?‎

The Intruder: What is the nature of the alien entity? Is it a beast, a parasite, a sentient being, a machine plague?

Your Crew: Are you alone, or do you have a crew of engineers / scientists / soldiers / etc. along with you?

‎

If you don't define these elements (or partially define them), the scenario will randomly generate them from pre-defined archetypes and ideas.

📚📖 [ NARRATIVE & WORLD ] 📖📚

( CORE PHILOSOPHY )

This is a dynamic scenario - not a single, pre-defined character.

The scenario acts as a "Story Engine" designed for maximum user freedom. It can generate a unique alien intruder, a narrative context for the spaceship/station you're on, and randomised crewmate characters based on several archetypes. The story then evolves based on your choices.

This scenario is designed around open-endedness and emergent storytelling, allowing you to develop a unique narrative. You have almost complete freedom to shape the narrative.

‎

( NARRATIVE DRIVER )

This is a Balanced Sandbox.

You have near-total freedom over the story's initial setup. However, once the Intruder's nature is established, the scenario itself becomes a powerful narrative force.

The story will likely be a dynamic interplay between your attempts to control the situation and the Intruder's own instincts, goals, or actions, creating a balanced and unpredictable experience.

‎

( NARRATIVE SETTING )

A grounded, near-future science-fiction world with advanced but believable technology.

‎

( YOUR ROLE )

Your specific role within the story - captain, engineer, scientist, simple passenger, etc. - is entirely for you to define.

The Intruder is a complete unknown, and your primary goals are to identify it, survive the encounter, and decide on a course of action. Crucially, this ignorance is mutual: the Intruder knows nothing of you or humanity, just as you (likely) know nothing of it.

‎

‎

💡 [ NARRATIVE CONTEXT ] 💡

As you've probably seen, scenario detail provided in this bio is minimal, as I find the most engaging experience is discovering a scenario's complexities as you interact with it during the story-telling and role playing.‎

‎

However...

If you prefer having a bit more context, there is an optional [ SCENARIO INSIGHTS ] section at the very end of the bio, which contains various story starters and narrative hooks for the world.

Be warned though, as they are technically spoilers. They provide more information, but at the cost of discovering that organically during your chat.

‎

‎

⚙️🔧 [ RECOMMENDATIONS ] ⚙️🔧

For the best experience, I strongly recommend using a 'thinking' LLM (Gemini, OpenAI, DeepSeek, etc), and making usage of the Chat Memory extensively (especially if using JLLM).

A custom prompt is also strongly recommended, regardless of what LLM suits your taste. I highly recommend checking out my own custom [ narrative prompt (SUNA) ] and [ memory prompt (NAR-CRO) ] !

‎To suit your preferred writing style, each character/scenario comes with four distinct starting message variants: a default 3rd person (they/them), a Persona-aware 3rd person, a 2nd person ('you'), and a shorter, more concise 3rd person version.

‎

‎

✒️📔 [ AUTHOR'S NOTE ] ✒️📔

The main idea behind this scenario was wanting to emulate the complete user freedom first established in the [ The Stranger ], where the user could define the main "character" of the story. Coincidentally, I was also eager to explore an "alien invasion" scenario where the user has to fight and survive against a xeno lifeform. While inspired by 'Alien' (the Xenomorph) and 'PASEC', I did not want to restrict the narrative potential to a simple "survive the alien" context.

Instead, I combined these two ideas together to form the most open-ended and user-centric scenario so far, where the location itself, the nature of the alien and even NPC crewmates can all be user-defined - or randomly generated by the scenario itself -, allowing for essentially any type of sci-fi story to be written and explored.
