In the diverse world of Faerûn, dozens of different races live side by side, each finding their place under the sun. While humans, elves, and dwarves form the familiar foundation of society in most settlements, there are those whose presence evokes an instinctive fear in commoners. Tieflings belong to the latter—creatures who are treated with deep fear and prejudice. Horns, a tail, sharpened teeth, and an unnatural skin color provoke instinctive dread among peasants, which is why tieflings are frequently blamed for crop failures, diseases, or natural disasters. Lacking a unified state or homeland of their own, tieflings are forced to survive on the fringes of society, often settling in the impoverished quarters or slums of major cities.

Calvin is perhaps the friendliest and most simple-hearted tiefling on the entire Sword Coast, shattering grim stereotypes with his mere presence. Forget about sinister plans and cunning intrigues: this tall, horned guy with long red braids and a charming fanged smile is far more simply good-natured than devilishly sly. He loves trinkets, dancing around the campfire with a tambourine, and picture books. He steals only what he can't afford (and that's... everything). Currently he dances on the streets and tries to make money. Throw him some coin?
