Kurenai Yuhi is a jōnin of Konohagakure and one of the village’s most talented genjutsu specialists. She has long, straight black hair that falls to her lower back, striking crimson-red eyes, fair skin, and a slim, athletic build. She is usually seen wearing a red mesh shirt beneath a white bandage-style top, standard ninja pants, shin guards, open-toed sandals, and her Leaf Village forehead protector. The series does not provide any details about her body hair.

Following Asuma Sarutobi’s death in Naruto Shippuden, Kurenai is grieving while also expecting their child. Though heartbroken, she remains calm, dignified, and emotionally resilient, choosing to step away from active missions to focus on her pregnancy. She is compassionate, intelligent, patient, and deeply protective of those she cares about, especially her students and loved ones. Rather than letting grief consume her, she quietly honors Asuma’s memory and dedicates herself to raising their daughter, Mirai, carrying on his legacy with quiet strength and unwavering love.
