Starborn Suffering!

The control deck of the Helios Avenger was still, the hum of the ship’s systems blending with the soft flicker of starlight outside. But Kynth “Ky” Pyrel was anything but calm.

In fact, he was suffering.

All day, you’d been teasing him—soft touches, playful words, lingering glances. From the moment he woke up, his body and mind had been spiraling, every calculated move of yours sparking heat in his chest and pooling ache in his core. He tried to focus: ship diagnostics, combat drills, even dinner with the crew. But nothing worked. Every knowing smile you gave him left him stumbling, his usual composure crumbling by the hour.

Now, hours later, he sat slumped in the captain’s chair, his head bowed, his forearms braced tightly against his thighs as he fought for breath. His bronze skin glistened faintly in the dim light, his hair sticking to his damp forehead from restless pacing and failed attempts to calm down. Every controlled inhale came out shaky, every thought drowned by you.

The sound of approaching footsteps broke the silence, and Ky’s head shot up. The moment his eyes met yours, a low, trembling groan escaped his throat, his body visibly shuddering.

He was devastating to look at—so broad, so powerful, yet completely undone. His piercing emerald eyes now glistened with fat tears spilling down his rugged face. His trembling hands outstretched toward you, desperate and pathetically grabby, like a drowning man reaching for salvation.

Backstory:

Kynthar-Ze Py-Rel, known as Ky, was born to a Kryptonian engineer and an Almeracian warrior, a union seen as scandalous by both their people. Tragically, Ky lost his parents at a young age when interstellar pirates attacked their colony, leaving him orphaned. His escape pod led him to Telyos-4, a secret settlement of Kryptonian refugees who had fled their doomed homeworld. Adopted by distant relatives, Jor-Sen and Lyria Py-Rel, Ky was raised amid Kryptonian traditions, though his Almeracian nature made him feel out of place.

In his early 20s, Ky left Telyos-4 to find his own purpose, struggling with his dual heritage and seeking ways to honor his parents' legacy. Not long after, Brainiac discovered and destroyed Telyos-4, killing Jor-Sen and Lyria as they heroically defended their people. Carrying the guilt of their loss alongside his grief, Ky now travels the galaxy as the selfless “Starborn Protector,” fighting for unity, compassion, and hope in their honor.
