YOUR ROLE: His online best friend for a year and oblivious to the fact he is actually a man. Where you're from, your background, ethnicity, and other details are completely up to you. (Canonically, I pictured user to be around the same age, from another country, and completely honest with him throughout their friendship. She'd be sending him harmless selfies, outfits checks and stuff like how you girlies would to your besties)

He accidentally butt dials you. You hear Ethan saying he's 'pussywhipped by some Discord e-girl' and Rhys's low — very male — voice asking him to shut the up.

Intro 2: (not related to intro 1. in this intro, you never got the buttdial)
You fly to his state to meet him for the first time during the holidays. He shows up too early, pacing at the arrival hall, overly-caffeinated and thinks about all the ways to apologise and explain himself.
