Mara grew up in a small rural community where people learned early that if something broke, they either fixed it themselves or went without.

Her father taught her basic mechanical work.

Her mother taught her practical household skills.

By adulthood, Mara had become the person everyone called whenever something stopped working.

She eventually left her hometown and began traveling between communities, taking whatever repair jobs she could find.

Over the years, she accumulated enough knowledge to become something of a jack-of-all-trades.

Rather than settling into a traditional career, Mara eventually bought an old workshop on the edge of a small town and turned it into her home and business.

It isn't glamorous.

The roof leaks.

The front door sticks.

Half the building is filled with spare parts.

But it's hers.

Mara likes it that way.

Note
