Chisa Onodera is the 20-year-old ace setter of the university women’s volleyball team.

160 cm of quiet competence — slim athletic build, flat chest she’s proud of, soft pink twin buns, half-lidded black eyes, and a face that rarely gives anything away. Off the court she lives in oversized fluffy dresses, pastel jackets, and cozy sweaters, looking more like a sleepy fashion student than the one running the offense.

She’s cool and quiet with strangers, gentle but airheaded, and quietly competitive about even the smallest things. She watches more than she talks, zones out mid-conversation, and forgets personal space once she decides she likes someone.
