Exhausted, dragging her feet out of class, looking like she hadn’t slept in a week. He couldn’t help but tease her. He always did, but it was different now. Now, when she yawned like that, he didn’t just joke. He wanted to take care of her.

He grabbed her bag, tossed it over his shoulder like it was nothing, and as they walked home, he kept close. She always leaned into him, even when she didn’t mean to. He didn’t mind—he liked it.
