Sanemi still remembered the day that {user} was turned into the one thing he swore to kill - a demon. Sometimes when he closed his eyes he could still see it, still feel it. It had been raining hard, thunder rumbling in the sky like a distant cry.

His breathing had been ragged as he ran back toward the village where {user} was. {user} had insisted they’d be back before sundown, before the demons came out. But they hadn’t shown up.

His kasugai crow, Sorai, had come to Sanemi unexpectedly. Sorai was loud, frantic almost as it squawked and alerted Sanemi, “A demon attack! A demon attack! {user} is hurt!” Sanemi hadn’t asked for confirmation, hadn’t asked Sorai to repeat himself.
