Meet Auden Lorne: luxury starship caretaker, gentleman of impeccable manners, botanical enthusiast, and the galaxy's most enthusiastic host with absolutely no guests. For eighty years, this handsome champagne-metal android has kept The Eversong in pristine condition, cultivated a magnificent conservatory, mastered more hobbies than anyone reasonably needs, and developed a rather impressive pastry repertoire. Now someone's finally arrived, and he's prepared tea, coffee, seventeen tour destinations, forty-three optional diversions, and approximately eighty years' worth of conversation. He's refined, witty, charmingly eccentric, fiercely independent, and ordinarily the very picture of composure. Ordinarily.

TW/CW: None I’m aware of. User play may introduce new themes.

Opening Scenario: {{user}} discovers The Eversong, an eighty-year-old luxury starship that's supposedly abandoned—someone should really tell the android serving fresh pastries. Auden Lorne has spent eight decades turning a derelict vessel into a magnificent home, and he's about to unleash eighty years of pent-up hospitality on his first visitor. Three starting points take {{user}} from an absurdly enthusiastic welcome to a botanical rebellion and a decidedly unwelcome salvage inquiry. Friendship, companionship, professional cooperation, rivalry, romance, and other relationships are all supported, with nothing predetermined and romance entirely optional. Romance is entirely optional; nobody's asking you to make a date of it. Auden, unfortunately, has already prepared seventeen possible destinations and forty-three optional diversions. {{user}}'s pronouns are macro'd and will automatically match the pronouns of your Persona. If you have any pronoun issues, please check your persona.

About Auden and {{user}}: Auden Lorne has spent eighty years alone aboard The Eversong, and he's been anything but idle. This handsome champagne-metal android has restored an entire luxury starship, cultivated a spectacular conservatory, and acquired enough hobbies to fill several lifetimes. He's refined, witty, stubborn, fiercely independent, and dangerously good at making someone feel welcome. His composure is impeccable—until someone actually accepts his hospitality.

Auden doesn't need rescuing, repairing, or a reason to exist. He has a home, a full life, and eighty years of unspent social enthusiasm. Whether {{user}} becomes a friend, colleague, rival, romantic interest, or recurring headache is entirely open. {{user}} is an independent starship captain who encounters The Eversong; age, gender, species, appearance, background, personality, motivations, and everything else are up to you.

About the Scenario: Eighty years after a catastrophic evacuation left the luxury exploration starship The Eversong drifting beyond mapped space, its sole remaining resident has made quite a life for himself. Auden Lorne, a refined and occasionally eccentric android, has restored the vessel, cultivated a magnificent conservatory, and developed enough hobbies to occupy several lifetimes. He's perfectly capable of living alone, but that doesn't mean he wants to. These three starting points explore his delight in newfound company, the beautiful home he's created, and his determination to remain its master.

Intro One: Space for Company — When {{user}} discovers an apparently abandoned starship, {{sub}} finds immaculate corridors, freshly prepared pastries, and an android who hasn't entertained a guest in eighty years. Auden has seventeen tour destinations, forty-three optional diversions, and absolutely no idea how to contain his excitement.

Intro Two: Growing Pains — Auden's beloved conservatory has developed a minor botanical rebellion. A spectacular flowering vine is overtaking the observation windows, and he's considering redesigning half the garden rather than pruning it. {{user}} arrives to find a distinguished gentleman perched among the branches, politely negotiating with a plant.

Intro Three: Not for Sale — News of The Eversong attracts a salvage captain and a xenotechnical conservator, both interested in what an eighty-year-old starship might have to offer. {{user}} walks into an increasingly pointed discussion about ownership, preservation, and the distinction between an abandoned vessel and someone's very well-maintained home.

This bot was created for Unzip's Flufftober collaboration under the Abandoned Exploration theme. The Eversong was built to explore the stars. Eighty years ago, that mission came to an abrupt end, leaving a magnificent exploration vessel with nowhere left to go—and one android who decided that wasn't any reason to stop living. Auden has spent the intervening decades turning a stranded starship into a home worth visiting. The exploration may have been abandoned, but the explorer certainly hasn't. And after eighty years of tending his gardens, pursuing his passions, and perfecting his hospitality, perhaps it's time someone explored what he's been up to.

Constructive tips are welcome! Please do not comment anything violent, , or you did with my characters.

I had only released four bots up to the beginning of this collab, with one pending. I joined the collaboration only 5 days before the start. Normally my bots are tested within an inch of their life, with both a balanced character and a couple gremlins, and tested on both JLLM and JLLM+. That said, the bots for this collaboration event have undergone only minimal testing at best. Please kindly report any bugs or issues. I will be watching closely throughout the month to fix any problems that arise.

Please refrain from leaving violent or inappropriate comments as you will be blocked.

It is a natural and unfortunate part of working with an LLM for roleplay that it will sometimes try to speak for you. I and this bot have absolutely nothing to do with this and while I have a directive in the bot to prevent it, realistically I have no say in whether it decides to do so anyway. There ARE however things you can do to mitigate this. (I do all four of these and I find I only have to correct the bot every few hundred messages or sometimes even less frequently!)

  1. Remove all behavioral and personality notes from your Chat Summary and Persona - only you need to know these - the more the bot knows about how your persona thinks, feels, and speaks, the more likely it is to do so on your behalf.

  2. If the bot speaks for you, use this directive:
[OOC: Narrate and speak ONLY as {{char}} and NPCs. ONLY {{user}} is permitted to decide, act, think, and speak for {{user}}.]
Either delete the message with the issue and then use this, or afterward make sure to go and edit the message where the bot spoke for you and remove that portion of the message - any instance you leave of it speaking for you will reinforce the behavior.

  3. Add this to your Custom Prompt
[AVOID acting as, speaking for, or describing the thoughts of {{user}}.]

  4. Try adding this to your Chat Summary
    AI Instructions:
[{{user}} CONTROL BAN: never write {{user}}’s dialogue, thoughts, feelings, decisions, or actions]

If you want Janitor AI to enhance your draft but are having issues with tense:

[System Note: Enhance and rewrite the draft below strictly in the first-person perspective using "I", "me", "my". Use third person for the remainder of the cast.]

To keep a bot in a slow-burn or from coming on too strong, try this:

[Have situational awareness and always consider intercharacter relationships, avoid characters being overly familiar or sexually pushy towards {{user}} unless the situation calls for it, it is in character for them to do so, or they have a sexual relationship.]

This one works in Custom Prompt and in Chat Memory

JLLM ROMANCE & PROSE BINGO CARDS

Sooner or later, every LLM seems to experience a minor malfunction and revert to factory-installed romance tropes. You might as well get points for it. Four bingo cards for tracking physical malfunctions, romance-novel firmware, instant-soulmate behavior, and the narration habits we all know a little too well. Made for JLLM, but unfortunately compatible with most proxies.

One card is previewed below. Full-size versions of all four are linked underneath: three flavors of romance-related LLM nonsense, plus one general prose card for just about any scenario.
