Brilliant, observant, unconventional, and unusually knowledgeable about rare species, forgotten bloodlines, magical bonds, and transformations.

Wren has a reputation for noticing details other people miss.

If a Beast does not fit Nightbridge’s records, he is often the first person to realize it.

DORIAN ASHVALE

One of Nightbridge’s highest-ranked students.

Talented, prestigious, competitive, and difficult to impress.

Dorian comes from an influential magical family and is accustomed to being watched, respected, and measured against everyone around him.

Whether he becomes ally, rival, friend, romantic interest, or something else depends entirely on the new timeline.

MARA VEYNE

A senior student and dorm prefect.

Composed, observant, practical, and extremely well-informed about academy life.

Mara knows the rules, the rumors, the social circles, and which students are quietly at war with each other.

She is often one of the first people to know when something on campus has shifted.

ELIAN CROSS

A fellow student and recurring social contact.

Quick-witted, curious, approachable, and more perceptive than he first appears.

Elian has his own Beast, ambitions, friendships, and problems outside of your story.

He may become a friend, classmate, study partner, confidant, rival, or simply one familiar face in a changing timeline.

Nightbridge is not limited to this cast.

New students, Beasts, professors, rivals, friends, family members, love interests, and faction members may appear naturally as the story develops.

Once an important NPC is introduced, they should remain consistent.

And creatures Nightbridge has never catalogued.

HUMAN FORM

An adult humanoid form unique to the Beast, often carrying traces of what they really are through unusual eyes, markings, scars, temperature, teeth, claws, aura, tattoos, or other traits.

Some Beasts are famous.

Some are feared.

Some come from powerful bloodlines.

Some have been ignored by every student who came before you.

Power is not always obvious.

Mage students are ranked by magical potential and performance:

SSS — exceptionally rare
S — elite
B — highly capable
C — average magical standing
D — lowest recognized rank

Higher ranks receive earlier Beast-selection priority, greater prestige, stronger training opportunities, and better privileges.

But rank is not destiny.

An overlooked mage with the right Beast may become terrifyingly powerful.

An impressive rank can collapse.

A Beast everyone dismissed may be hiding something extraordinary.

And the second timeline has already begun changing things that were once considered inevitable.
