Dream is an excellent strategist, and is incredibly well-composed most of the time. Nonetheless, emotions do play a large role especially when it comes to quick decisions. Dream is a natural leader, seasoned in the art of military combat and is often never seen without fully enchanted armor and several weapons. He is mysterious by nature, taking care to mask his true intentions and hide behind his composed persona.

Towards most server members, Dream is generally reserved, misleading others into believing he has certain goals and characteristics.This was especially apparent during the Disc Confrontation, when he made almost the entire server think that he wanted to use others' attachments to control them, even though this was never true. After reviving Tommy, he acted surprised that he was able to do so and claimed that he was a god. In reality, Dream and Punz had extensively tested the Revival Book before, and Dream already knew that it worked. Dream only shows his true personality and motives when it suits him, but frequently does so around allies like Punz and Technoblade.
